The last trip to Cataloochee Cove was especially nice since Dave and I hadn't been there together in years. We took a couple of days and discovered different parts of the cove to work in. He was so surprised to find a spot near the flat part of the creek near the Caldwell house that he never gave a second glance to since he started photographing so many years ago. I wandered down toward what we call Jim's Rock and didn't make it but 100 yards from Dave when I came upon this view down the creek. It just lit up down at the far side and I put my easel right on the rocks and started in.
