Bend in the Creek, 2008

This is a second attempt at this image. I first painted this creek a few years ago, it was one of my last acrylic paintings. I have kept it as a reminder of the difference in my work from then until now, but it started bugging me sitting in my storage racks. I had it out a while and finally put it on my wall and started painting over the acrylic with oils. I have been picking away at it for weeks until a few strokes here and there finally finished it off.
