There is a huge Sycamore in the middle of Big Creek. I painted this image after the sketch I made on the spot after my third trip to Big Creek. It's a great place up in the Smokies with great rocks and tumbling waters. I was there in the Fall and the yellows were brilliant in the sun. I was perched on top of a huge boulder and sketched in the middle of the creek with the water roaring all around me. A perfect place to stay all afternoon if there weren't so many other things to see.
