Abstraction, 1985

26" x 13"

This is a window I made years ago with a design made by a friend. It uses a clear glass (Double Flemish) that was a favorite of mine as well as a blue and white swirled glass that has an irridized coating to catch the light when the window is front lit. No matter where you put a window with clear glass the colors and shapes of the view beyond become an element of the design.

I put this window, originally a sample for a church job, into the wall of a half bathroom I added to my house. It is the only window in the room so it really does what a good window should. It makes the room alive.
