2007
On a bright afternoon down in a creekbottom at Cloudland Canyon State Park I was stumbling along looking at rocks and woods and reflections, wishing I'd brought my easel and oil pastels down with me. There were so many good views and I was snapping pictures of all kinds of things. This view of this big bright rock was drawn from several photos I took that day. Of all the things I saw there this stood out as a highlight, and I knew I needed to work on it when I got back to the studio.
