I saw some of the most intense shapes and colors in the sky after a storm passed during a drive in the country one evening. Huge dark clouds and vibrant sunset colors got me to drive to a place with a good, open view of the sky and we stopped to admire it. Between my wife and I we must have shot a hundred pictures as the sky changed and the wind whipped on that deserted dirt road through the fields near Farmington. This is a painting that is inspired by that moment and mixed with other great skies this Winter in our own back fields.
