2018
This is a painting that I just revised. It was originally started in 2004 when I had first begun to paint with oils, and is a view of a spring that dumps directly into Cataloochee Creek in North Carolina. This is an area I have frequented over the years and always come back from with good images. I recently picked this back up after doing some studio cleaning and decided to work back into it. I did this by heightening the contrasts and making the spotlit areas of light more as I had intended but was without the skills to. After creating the areas of bright interest I dropped back on color and light in the other areas that took away from that effect.
