I originally painted this in 2018, and posted it there, but have recently gone back into the image and changed a few things. I was always happy with upper and left half of the picture, but felt like I wanted more to happen on the lower and right sides. I was inspired by the very wet winter that we are having in 2020 and all of the puddles that I am seeing. I have always been a sucker for a good shining puddle in the dark. With that change, and an alteration of the giant privet, creating a second growth to better the composition, I was able to get around to the feel of the image I wanted to begin with.
