2015
On a drive outside of Richmond, Indiana I came across dark, plowed fields with stunning spots of sun everywhere. The Winter colors were lit in subtle shades as a storm passed to the North, the sky breaking between deep darks and purples and blasts of sunshine. I love ebing in the flatlands of my native Midwest and being able to see for miles as weather and light create long stretches of images to watch and see develop along their way through. This painting came easily as I recalled the event and sorted through quick photos that served as memory.
