Mossy Trail
Mossy Trail

The winter has been wet this year, wetter than usual. My trails and the woods around them have gotten very mossy. The moss has an almost glowing green along the edges of the trail sometimes. There are rocks that randomly pop into view a solid green. The bottom of many tree trunks are a stand out green. It's everywhere. In the process of painting this view up a hill with the foggy pasture beyond the woods, I slowly turned everything green. Every day I'd walk this spot and take mental notes, or even sketch it again, and every time I painted I inserted more green.
