Walking my trails before dawn in the winter can be a challenge, but as the days get longer and it feels less like night when I am walking, things change. I can start seeing things better, and the trail is easier to follow. The moonlit clouds become a light source and the eastern sky begins to have a bit of brightness. The woods are less dark, but more mysterious. Colors are just starting to form. This painting captures that kind of moment.
