This is my morning view as I get started into town to go to work. Watching the seasons change and the sunrise timing change is such a simple pleasure. Going from winter's darkness to a hazy predawn light, to dawn, then low slanting early morning sun inspires me constantly. And to paint the image that you feel you saw was the daily effort I made working on this. I'm sure it verged way off the track of the natural image I snapped as everything I paint does, but that seems to be the point of painting to me. And this hill, the field to the right, and the trees edging the field have been the subject I have painted and seems an endless subject.
