Outside my studio door are wonderful set of surrounding woods and a open little low area. I sometimes step out at night and look around to stretch my back and legs and look at the stars. On my right side are a bunch of trees that have their lower trunks lit by my lights and they draw my attention from time to time. This is a bit of an homage to those trees in that kind of moment when all is dark and still and I am freeing up my mind. The glow of the neighbors yard lights, the traffic here and there, a distant train whistle create this ordinary scene and elevate it for me.
