I spotted this tree years ago when an old farmhouse was underneath it, and have watched it since. The house is long gone now but the tree still stands. I recently stopped and got out, and walked around the yard. This tree continued to fascinate me as I walked around under the canopy, looking at it from different sides. Every branch changed as I circled the tree, as if it was an entirely different composition every few steps. This is the third view so far that I have painted, settling this time on the morning sunlight directly behind which I felt like gave it a heroic feeling.
