A gnarly Oak growing among a group of Cedars drew my attention while I was on a walk one early evening. What really caught me was the contrast between the bright Oak branches and the dark Cedars behind. The sun was setting behind the Cedars revealing the glowing grass and mosses around them. The Oak twisted and spread across the scene emphasizing the differences. One Cedar, right next to the Oak, had its branches intertwined. It was a pair that has spent a lifetime together next to the little field.
